Generous hospitality. Peaceful and clean accommodations

We had a wonderful stay. We will forever remember the generous hospitality we received from Val and Karen. Karen really made us feel welcome. She was so friendly and caring, we felt as though we had known her all of our lives. Our room was so peaceful. The entire house was beautiful and very clean. We had a great time meeting the other guests and wished we could have spent more time. We will absolutely come back again if ever in the area.

A wonderful Place1

I stayed at this stunning and beautiful B&B for three days with a friend of mine, and we were in the West bedroom. The room is so spacious and the bathroom has a good sized modern shower. We were cheerfully greeted by Karen who is the care taker. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful every morning. One of the highlights was eating fresh eggs laid by the chickens. An added plus was that secured internet was available and very reliable. This was one of the best weekends I ever had and I definitely want to stay at the Edgement again when I find myself returning to visit Lake Champlain. The only thing that would have improved my stay is if the B&B had an onsite restaurant offering lunch and dinner, because when it comes to places to eat out, the pickings are minuscule and not that great. so an onsite restaurant is needed. Port Henry is a place where you would go for rest, relaxation and to enjoy the beautiful views. Maybe do some biking riding in warmer weather.

My friend and I had a great moment à Edgemont B&B. We were treated as queens! Karen the manager was like a second mom to us. We really appreciate our 2 days there. We highly recommand it for poeple who want to relax and disconnect with the reality. It's a peacefull and quiet place where for sure you can have fun. I can't wait to see the small town of Moriah to get more attrations and more restaurant to please the guests. For sure, I would like to return cause this place is amazing and perfect!

Cyclist Dream!

We chose Edgemont to start our Lake Champlain cycling trip, and could not have made a better choice. The Inn is truly wonderfull, but what make this place special is the extra value for cyclists. Vincent provided route suggestions, which were excellent, and had tips that you don't get from Google maps. Karen even ferried a bag for us between neighboring inns so we could cycle for a few days without carrying anything on our bikes.

A Fantastic Get-away

My husband David and I greatly enjoyed our recent long-term stay at the Edgemont B&B—an elegant and beautiful home exuding hospitality and warmth. We stayed in Edgemont's apartment across from the main home which gave us privacy, quiet, coming and going at our leisure—and most importantly, being able to bring Zoey, our Shetland Sheep dog. The cottage included an outside porch, living area, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen with eating area, and closet large enough to accommodate a washer and dryer. The three of us could relax on Edgemont's lovely wrap-around porch offering views of neighboring farms and far-away mountains; David and I also had access to the B&B's charming kitchen and dining area. Karen, Edgemont’s Innkeeper, is a warm, gracious and accommodating host dedicated to ensuring all guests are well taken care of and that everything is done at a top-notch level. Each morning began with Karen waving to us with a hearty Good Morning and giving a special greeting to Zoey on her way to feed the Edgemont chickens and gather just-hatched eggs—which meant we had terrifically fresh breakfasts. Karen continuously made us feel “at home” and incredibly welcome; she took great care of us while we there—as well as afterwards when she graciously offered to send Zoey’s sleeping rug which we inadvertently left behind. Staying at the Edgemont B&B provided us with opportunities to relax, explore the surrounding New York/Vermont lakes and hike mountains, and visit nearby cities with their great restaurants, shopping, farmer markets. Overall a wonderfully memorable time!

Lovely, Gracious Home

Lovely older family home that has been completely updated a la mode Victoriana. Great kitchen with period reproduction commercial stove (6 burner!) and fridge. Pool room can't be beat!

Hurray for Edgemont!

Loved our stay! Bed was super comfortable. Room was very very clean. Loved the decor and feel of this historic B&B. My son and I played pool and ping pong which were great evening activities. In the morning, Karen the manager, made us a beautiful breakfast made to order and was there to make us completely comfortable. It was a wonderful friendly environment!

Home away from home

I recently had the pleasure to stay at the Edgemont and truly had such a wonderful experience! My sister and I were visiting family and were thrilled to be in a home away from home. Karen, our new friend, was so welcoming and accommodating. She did everything to help make our mini vacation as relaxing as possible. The place itself is beautiful, the rooms are clean and the beds are amazing! I will be back and will absolutely recommend to all my friends and family!
